Self-truth bookspace

An act expressed from one’s innermost nature can be called self truth. It can also be translated into Tamil as suya dharmam. One’s moods and actions are shaped by one’s personality and desires. It is sufficient  to understand this on a simple, psychological level. Self truth is that action which helps manifest one’s potential to its fullest. By engaging with it, conquering it, and transcending it, one can attain liberation. One may consider war, another’s business, another’s education, another’s profession, another’s service as their own self truth.

There cannot be a person who does not know their self truth. One’s likings settle down on one’s self truth from a very young age. It is not something that takes shape from the surroundings or community or education. But the surroundings, community and education play a big part in it. A fingertip from within us gropes in many directions and points towards whatever it desires. At the centre of our self truth, we concentrate our fullest energy. It never wavers in its direction. And so there are no losses.

The mango’s essence can be found in the tree’s root, leaf and flower. This essence, however, is ripe in the mango. One’s self truth is not just in one’s thoughts but in one’s nature as well. One’s search for affection, love and salvation are all determined by that very nature. What is left when you remove the salty taste from salt? One is empty without the other.

The basis of the ‘Self truth bookspace’ is to bring to print and publicize even the smallest creation that can ignite anyone’s self truth. From the timeless way of the truth to the truth borne by Gandhi… Those who extend as a witness to this history, we pray for this expression to be ensconced in the endless pages of the conscience like that of a peacock feather.
