Cuckoo is an environment that channels our primordial instinct of survival into an evolved state of being, by doing. It started by setting up libraries in remote villages and hamlets and screening international movies and documentaries to expand children’s imaginations. Cuckoo has been engaging with children from various rural and tribal areas, through different activities for the past two decades.

After working with children from various rural and tribal villages, Cuckoo slowly started addressing the needs of the village as well.  Through its various initiatives, this slowly grew into a collective workforce of people from various backgrounds, working towards a common cause of enhancing the quality of life in villages. through the process of working on the ground consistently, collectively and persistently, and within a particular time period. We have considerably gained an understanding of children’s physical, mental, emotional and intellectual needs. Now, we intend to transfer the learnings of the action on the ground to the younger generation. We intend to develop a pedagogy of learning through the lived experience of being with children in rural villages across India. The fellowship would dwell into understanding the existing needs of children and preparing pedagogies pertaining to each one of them based on their needs, towards Naitalim.
